During the busiest period the Svea Coal Mine had three hundred workers. Now it has been decided that the mine will be shut down for good, and less than 30 workers are there to maintain the construction.
Cultural heritage from before 1946 is automatically protected, but everything else will be removed: The airport, the harbour, the power station, buildings, electric installations and polluted soil. How much that will be removed is under progress. But will it be possible to restore nature after hundred years of mining?
